"The effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much"James 5 vs 16
I am where I am because someone cared enough to pray for me. A sincere prayer, heard by God never goes unanswered. I am here because my mother has never stopped praying for me.
I recognise the "wherewouldIbeness" in my situation and am very thankful that she never gave up on me. The same care that brought Jesus from Heaven and the same care that caused him to endure the cross and despise the shame.
I know there is still more for me to do but I wanted to take a moment to just say that when we think our prayers are going unanswered, they aren't. God hears and he answers with those things that we need and at the right time. I am only here because of prayer and for that I want to be ever thankful.

Get up and get going...
“A person cannot coast along in old destructive habits year after year and accept whatever comes along. A person must stand up on her own two legs and walk. Get off the bus and go get on another. Climb out of the ditch and cross the road. Find the road that is where you want to go. … The only sermon that counts is the one that is formed by our actions. She would quit drinking and thereby show Kyle life is what you make it. A person can grab hold of her life and change things for the better. This happens all the time. We are not chips of wood drifting down the stream of time. We have oars.” ---
